I do agree that Malabar area in general and Kannur in particular has been ignored in many development areas which was during the several and past poor governance. Providing the basic and best infrastructure to any place in general is the first step towards any future development and Kannur of course has its potential and deserve to have its own identity. Remember the proverb that well begun is half done. Government should have plans to make the best use of the proposed facility for overall development of Kannur and Kerala. Unfortunately the politicians from Kerala in general spend more time on fighting among themselves inside the state and they do not have any plan, strategy or personality to get the shares that the state deserves from the central government. They are politically blinded and do not have even the basic courtesy/capability to take forward the state issues to the concerned authority to address the core issue, however they are smart to save their ass by always blaming the central government and others.Many seems to speak a lot but not really concerned about the larger interest and if they are in the opposition party they are of the fear about their credibility and create obstacles for any new development plans at the cost of the larger common public.Let us only hope that things will improve in future with more awareness among these politicians.

At last there is an announcement of inauguration of commencement of the air port work by The Hounourable Miinister for Home affairs,reported as announced by the Honourable Minister for Civil Aviation, will be heled on 17th Dec 2010. (Published in the Manorama on 20th Nov 2010)
